Canada. i was told above 200 would be concerning. Doctor just told me to drop one of my 2 1000 IU calcium capsules, but I thought I’d discontinue completely for a couple of weeks. I calculated with all my supplements and diet I’d been getting somewhere between 3500-4000 daily for about a year, and of course no sun since last September! JM I am not a doctor or scientist so keep that in mind. You asked “Is there any info out there for people in my situation.” You might have to get a little more specific in that regards.

It is my understanding if supplementing with Vitamin D (or sunshine) does NOT cause hypercalcemia, then it is OK to take the Vitamin D.
Now I do not know what tests your doctor does but I think besides 25OHD levels they may also need to check 1,25-Dihydroxy vitamin D levels. It is my understanding that either level can go “high”.
So if this was a 25OHD and NOT a 1,25 test your level is 169 measured as nmol/l and that equals 67ng/ml here in the USA. The upper end of the range here in the US for 25OHD is 100ng/ml that would equal 250nmol/l. (We encourage at least a level of 50ng/ml (125nmol/l) under normal circumstances.)
Now if you did not have sarcoidosis, I would say you have a good level and if you did not have any health issues other than sarcoidosis, than keep on doing what you are. So your level is not extreme under “normal” circumstances.
