I think what we call “bolus” dosing of 600,000iu, made things worse or at least not better. There is information from a study that shows giving huge amounts (even the 50,000iu once a week) may not be the best way to give Vitamin D. Taking it daily is best! In a sense, “When using those (high) doses, even large amounts of vitamin D would be cleared from the systemic circulation in several days and thus not be available to diffuse into cells and work vitamin D’s magic.” http://www.vitamindcouncil.org/blog/why-is-daily-dosing-of-vitamin-d-important/
So I think you should start with getting over the counter, Vitamin D3 and take 10,000iu PER DAY. with food. In either a month or two, I would try and get retested to see if your levels are increasing. If they are than keep taking the 10,000iu until you reach a minimum of 50ng/ml. After that you can probably cut back to 5000iu a day as a maintenance dosage. If your levels have not risen very much or at all, then I would increase to 15,0000-20,0000iu. If that does not work than an “oral Vitamin D3 spray” may absorb better for you. If none of that works than you should write back and tell me.

I am sorry but I do not know what is available either in your stores, vitamin shops, retailers or by online shopping. If you can find 5000iu per pill then take two a day. If you can only get 2000iu per pill then take five a day. Sometimes 10,000iu per pill is hard to find.
    Hope that helps.
