Although you did a wonderful job of describing your situation, I have some questions. Your doctor prescribed 3 drops of Vigantol BUT you did not say if that is per day or per week or something else?
Are you scared of the Aclasta OR the Vigantol? I think you mean the Aclasta but please be specific.
I am also trying to figure out how much Vitamin D3 is in one drop of Vigantol but I am not having much luck here in the US. Does anyone else know or can you tell me Isabel?Answered by IAW on November 11, 2014 at 10:27 am

All of the medical issues that you described above can be traced back to a Vitamin D deficiency. Your doctor is giving you a total of 4800 iu of Vitamin D a day (800 X 6 drops) which is good. The Vitamin D Council recommends a blood level of at least 50 ng/ml but the upper end is 100 ng/ml. If I were you and had your medical history I would probably aim for a higher blood level which may mean taking more than 6 drops a day.
Also to get the most benefit from vitamin D, you must have other cofactors in your body. http://www.vitamindcouncil.org/about-vitamin-d/vitamin-d-and-other-vitamins-and-minerals/#.
Vitamin D has a number of cofactors; the ones listed below are the most important.
You also need magnesium to go with the Vitamin D please see below.
“The Vitamin D Council believes that the daily amounts of magnesium recommended by the Food and Nutrition Board (USA) aren’t enough to keep your body healthy; and that both men and women may need more than is recommended. Some research studies show that your body needs between 500 and 700 mg a day”. The types of magnesium that absorb best are aspartate, citrate, lactate, and chloride.
Taking the Vitamin D is very important. As for the Aclasta only you can decide what to do. Have you read https://www.vitamindcouncil.org/health-conditions/vitamin-d-and-osteoporosis/
My wish for you is for better health!Answered by IAW on November 13, 2014 at 4:55 pm
